Sometimes after launching Mozilla I can't type requested URL -- URL bar is
"frozen". I can still select all the text using mouse but unable to edit/delete
it. URLbar never gets "focus".
Ctrl+Shift+L is the only work-around that helps.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open mozilla
2. try to type URL
Actual Results: URL edit box is "read only" and cannot be edited, it also can
not get "focus"
Expected Results: No problems with entering desired URL in URL edit box

It might be a duplicate of bug 107871. Is that your problem?
Extract of a newer comment from the reporter: "Bug is similar. The difference
is: I can not edit URL bar even when I close Mozilla and open it again. No tabs.
(I use "quick launch" so mozilla.exe stays in memory all the time and "bug may
be still alive")".
Jacek, you referred to tabbed interface, that's why I mentioned 107871. Take a
look at bug 111250 and bug 82534. If you have another window already open and
operational, write something on its url bar. Return to the window with the
frozen url bar. Is it working now? If yes, likely it is bug 82534. Until you
find a 100% reproducible test case, we are just guessing...
Jacek, do you have mail&news open when you see that (or set preference for
launching browser and mail together) ?
I've also seen this bug. No mail/news, no tabs. I would start Mozilla, try to
enter a URL and nothing happens. click on a bookmark from My Sidebar would
work, but could never manually enter an address.
I see the same behaviour under mac os X and Mozilla 0.9.8. The location
sometimes can be selected but can not be edited.
Jacek, did you try to erase localstore.rdf (in your profile directory)?
No reply from reporter. Resolving as duplicate of bug 82534.
