You can't set Mozilla as the default mail programm for windows so if you open a
'mailto' link or make 'send to email' windows tries to call the last mail
programm even when it is uninstalled already.
Just wonder why Mozilla 9.5 and 9.6 can't do that but Netscape 6.2 (Mozilla 9.4.1)

What I understand (and I might be mistaken) is that simple mapi isn't still
activated in Mozilla (backend exists but there is no association with the OS)
while it is on Netscape branch (see bug 108275). For example, "send to email" is
SendMail feature, right? And it really works on NS 6.2.

yes it's what you meant and yes works,when you open n6.2 mail it asks if you
want to make it the default mail programm and any mail link in any oder browser
and/or program opens net 6.2 mailer

This is a known issue. Simple MAPI hasn't yet landed due to some issues with
stability that are being worked out.
