We've got code to add in tags in the devhub but its restricted to admin, not the developers. We'd like to allow developers to enter those so we can use them in search, this will be primarily to allow developers to enter keywords for synonyms, misspellings or other things. Suggest that we take the existing code for tags which is from AMO, call it keywords and allow developers to use it. If I remember correctly, developers are limited to 20 keywords, it supports blocked keywords and some keywords are restricted to admins (e.g. "tarako").

what affect do keywords have to search result rankings? I.e. do they give more of a boost than just entering keywords at the base of your description. We have abuse concerns (as they're not exposed anywhere outside of the edit listing page in devhub).

They will have no boosting applied. It would just allow for extra words to be used when matching without having to clutter the description. E.g. if I have a solitaire game I can add a keyword, "card games", so when people search for that term my app will show up in the results. If you want them included in the reviewer tools please file a bug and advise where it makes sense. We can show them somewhere to help abuse concerns.

https://github.com/mozilla/zamboni/commit/25217d4 Please verify that adding and removing keywords works as expected. Also verify that you can find your public app by searching using the keywords added.

Verified in FF39(Win7) in marketplace-dev.allizom.org Adding tags in the submission process: http://screencast.com/t/5XOqaSPNGe2 Adding/removing tags in the app edit page, adding more than 20 tags: http://screencast.com/t/jFaN1pELP Search by tag: http://screencast.com/t/T4dT5FJxS From the pdf in comment 1 I saw that there are some information under the keywords text box, those are not displayed in the marketplace: http://screencast.com/t/0uaaq0Nkmea6 Is this a new decision not to include that info?

The information related to keywords is added but I can't see the "See recommended search keywords here" link. Was that page not created yet so we do not need the link anymore?
