Under Windows 98 running build 2001112003, If I open the bookmark manager and
select multiple bookmarks and drag them to the desktop, the drop is not allowed.
 Individually, they are successfully dropped.

*** Bug 185820 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Product: Browser → Seamonkey
WFIW, also doesn't work in firefox. (no corresponding FF bug that I can see)

This is also happening in Thunderbird.. ( with regard to being able to drop
multiple items anywhere OTHER than Thunderbird ( ie externally )

I am attempting to create an extension that would allow drag message(s) from TB
folder, drop to OS file manager as .eml files ( in windows ).. When dragging
ONE message, all proceeds beautifully. When dragging multiple messages, the
clipboard contains NO data whatsoever ( that I can see using clipboard spying
tools )

I *think* it has to do with :InvokeDragSession passing :StartInvokingDragSession
a nsDataObjCollection object when :StartInvokingDragSession is expecting a
IDataObject object in nsDragService.cpp

I could be wrong bout the reason tho..

I do know that I cannot get drag and drop multiples externally items to work
anywhere in FF or TB..
As this happen in all products, moving to more appropriate section
