User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0 Build ID: 20141126041045 Steps to reproduce: 1. Receive an email with lots of people listed that you want to resend. 2. Try to delete old email addresses. What a PITA! Actual results: You have to highlight each email address and then hit the delete button. Once for each line. Very time consuming. Expected results: Recently you changed the background color of the email address box to blue. It used to be white. On the release that you did this on, you changed the ability to more easily delete an email address WITHOUT highlighting the whole line. In the past, I would be able to position the cursor on the left side of the email box and hit the delete key and MOST of the time, it would delete the entire line. Not so now! At least, put back the old functionality so I can delete 1 line at a time. MORE PREFERABLY, I would like to highlight ALL the email address lines I want to delete and hit the delete key ONCE and delete them all before putting in the new email address to whom I am resending it. Thank you.
Indeed, composition's recipient area is painful in many ways, and waiting for functional redemption in Bug 440377 (redesign each of To, CC, BCC etc. as single line inputs, allow acting on addresses as objects etc.). The color design/theme issues are Bug 1051638, improvements discussed in Bug 1042780. We should examine how/why deletion of recipients got harder by new header design. I suspect it's the loss of icons for each recipients, which was another undiscussed and potentially undesirable side effect of JosiahOne's flat header redesign.
