1120626 - Set a tab to have priority audio, muting all other tabs and future tabs

I know this depends on a ton of work that is attached to bug 486262 and others but I was asked to file this pipe dream of an idea because it'd be so useful.

Basically, I'd love to be able to set a tab as being the only one able to access the audio device and all other tabs and future tabs that generate audio would simply be muted.

Great for web-based music players (Pandora, Soundcloud) as well as being able to browse the internet with all videos muted.

Would need to update the UI for noting which tabs have sound to mark tabs that are muted and tabs that are priority.

Sounds like a splendid idea but it needs top go the Firefox team to consider.
