Steps to reproduce:
Click on download when update notification for version 35 comes up. Downloads, then asks to restart now or wait. Clicked restart now.
Actual results:
Old version still installed.

I also had a similar problem with Thunderbird; I ended up downloading it from scratch. Presumably that would "fix" the problem here but I can help debug if the community is interested in finding out what's actually going on.
