Steps to reproduce:

started to type in alias and hit tab, i.e.: mom-tab


Actual results:

left "mom" in the address line, not putting in a proper address and reported an invalid address when trying to send


Expected results:

Expected it to fill mom's email and allow email to be sent.

I have noticed that the address substitution is slower on the recent version.  I have several different computers running TB and notice that the ones with an older version work properly, i.e. they fill in the proper address before I tab out of the field.  V 31.x doesn't work as well with this.

It seems like the substitution isn't working as fast as it did.  I even took the previous version on a given computer, which worked well, upgraded to 31.x and it is slower.

Some may say, "Wait it for it to autocomplete" but that's an interruption in the work flow.  It should be fast enough , as it was in the past (and other mailers I use at work), to do this.  The only commonality is the newer version and it is rare to see this behavior in older versions.
