I noticed this on this article: http://www.salon.com/2015/01/02/coca_colas_anti_american_outsourcing_scheme_how_big_soda_gets_the_public_to_shoulder_its_costs/
Inspecting the HTML, it looks like there's a <div> that follows this first <p>:

So maybe that's signaling that we shouldn't include that first paragraph? It would be good to create a reduced testcase.

Yay, I think Gijs fixed this with bug 1127778.
I can wait until we merge those Readability.js changes to mozilla-central to close this out, but it works for me locally.
