Details
When opening an item from the search box dropdown in a new tab (e.g. by using Cmd-Click), the dropdown disappears and then reappears. This has been discussed in bug 1106101, but fixing it seemed to risky given that we've been targeting beta.

It's a surprisingly hard/risky thing to fix. Some more details are in the duplicate bug.
