I've noticed every once in a while the "Next" button is disabled. it doesn't seem like this should ever be disabled, unless there are absolutely no more messages on any servers.. Some scenarios I've used to get it disabled: - start mail, click the inbox.. for some reason it isn't enabled until the first message is selected - use the search bar - the next button is disabled until you visit a new folder - it doesn't matter if you delete the selected text and go back into "non-searching" mode - you have to visit another folder to get the button back.

It happens on Windows, too. What's interesting is that in your first case, the 'n' key does work, so it's just the toolbar button that's disabled. reassigning to ssu.

The second and third symptoms in this bug are no longer specifically reproducible. While it is true that selecting the search bar disables some of the toolbar buttons, they are enabled again as soon as a message is selected; it is not necessary to visit another folder. And, if the focus is moved from the quicksearch field, the 'N' key works. This is consistent with the first symptom: the buttons are disabled when no message is selected.
