Details
Reproducible with:
- Firefox 36 Beta 5 - BuildID: 20150129200438
Reproducible on: Windows XP x86, Windows XP x64, Vista x86, Vista x64 (haven't tried Windows 7 & 8)
Prerequisites:
- none for Windows XP
- set "media.mediasource.enabled"=false on Windows Vista
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Firefox with a clean profile and go to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c86t8hoVw8E.
2. Wait for an ad to show up on the bottom of the video.
3. After ad appears, right click on the video and select "Stats for nerds".
4. Hover the Ad "x" button and content for a few seconds, then do the same for the "Stats for nerds" overlay.
5. Close the Ad.
6. Hover the "Stats for nerds" overlay "x" button and content again, then close the overlay.
7. Hover the overlay on the bottom right.
Expected results:
There are no video artifacts displayed.
Actual results:
Video artifacts display on top of the overlay while it is hovered. The artifacts disappear when no longer hovered. See http://www.screencast.com/t/o5xDTloi8s.
Notes:
- I've seen (worse) artifacts display in other scenarios (with other videos, without opening "Stats for nerd"), but this is a scenario where I can consistently reproduce the issue
- Video card is: AMD Radeon HD 3000

Component: Audio/Video → Audio/Video: Playback
We've fixed a number of AMD issues. Can you still reproduce this issue?

The video overlays and the stats for nerds pop-up have changes meanwhile.
But I couldn't reproduce the problem on 45.0a1 (2015-11-03), Win XP 32-bit, AMD Radeon 3000.
