In 38.0a1, build 20150204030234 with a fresh profile, Mac 10.10; I can't get this player to work in an e10s window at all with drag and drop. Using the file uploader (by clicking on it) will upload files but the tab seems to hang. The tab stopped working, then the browser hung though there is no crash reported, and I don't have any tabs loaded other than the start and first run pages. I'll try a bit more later to reproduce the crash as you describe and give some exact STR. In a non-e10s window I can drag files onto the player and play them, and clicking the file uploader also seems to work ok.

I haven't mentioned a crash at all. This is exactly what happened.
Here is the process that was hanging - not sure if that helps. 75709 ?? 2:28.46 /Applications/FirefoxNightly.app/Contents/MacOS/plugin-container.app/Contents/MacOS/plugin-container -greomni /Applications/FirefoxNightly.app/Contents/Resources/omni.ja -appomni /Applications/FirefoxNightly.app/Contents/Resources/browser/omni.ja -appdir /Applications/FirefoxNightly.app/Contents/Resources/browser 75708 gecko-crash-server-pipe.75708 org.mozilla.machname.1442926041 tab

Tim, is this bug still a notable issue for you?

(In reply to [:tracy] Tracy Walker - QA Mentor from comment #8) > Tim, is this bug still a notable issue for you? I can't seem to reproduce this bug anymore, but maybe someone else should confirm this as well.

The music player doesn't cause the browser to freeze for me. marking WFM

Works fine for me now in Nightly with e10s enabled. I tried a few times with a fresh profile, multiple tabs open, and uploading a few files.
