From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:0.9.4)
Gecko/20011019 Netscape6/6.2
BuildID: 200111012009
Dir Sir,
I'd like to report a western characters display error of Mozilla & Netscape.
My platform is Windows 98 (which is Simplified Chinese, 2nd Version), and
Mozilla build ID is 2001112009. When I open http://fr.yahoo.com in Mozilla, it
cannot display the Western Characters correctly (The Character Coding I choose
is "Western (ISO-8859-1)" . It means when the ASCII code of western character is
bigger than 127, Mozilla recognize it with the later character as a Chinese
Character(you know the Chinese Character is expressed by 2 ASCII codes, and the
first code is bigger than 127), whatever the Character Coding I select is useless.
Well, the Internet Explorer is better than Mozilla, for IE can display the
Western Characters corretly when I select the "Western Character" coding.
I hope this bug could be fixed in the next version of Mozilla.
Yours Sincerely
Yaming Zhao
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.If you're using Win Me Simplified Chinese Edition
2.Open http://fr.yahoo.com
3.
Actual Results: A Western Characters Display Error Will Occur
Expected Results: Western Characters should be displayed.
Chinese Characters display instead of western characters.

Yaming Zhao, I have a question about your steps of reproduce.
Did you changed Characters coding to Western (ISO-8859-1) manually after you
went to http://fr.yahoo.com.
http://fr.yahoo.com does not have meta charset info in the page.

From Yaming Zhao 's email.
"Yeh, I choose Western(ISO-8859-1) manually off course."

Changed QA contact to ylong@netscape.com.
I could not reproduce this in 20011129 trunk build on Windows US system.
Yuying, please try to reproduce this on Windows Chinese system.

That's very strange. Zhao Yamin, did you have any other chinese software
(like cstar, richwin, njstar, or some kind of web translation softwares)
running in your environment? Could you attach a image of your screen?
(Use shift-Prnt Scrn to copy screen, and paste to paintbrush. Save it and
send it to us.)

ylong wasn't in the cc list.
ylong: can you see this in Win98 Simplified Chinese?
I am hoping this is not a W98-SC specific. I don't have W98-SC
dev machine.........

Yes, I wasn't in the cc list nor QA contact so I didn't received anything about
this.
Actually it's a dup. of bug 115374 which has been fixed recently.
