Fallen tried out discovery for Firefox -> Thunderbird and noted that it currently means you have to disable force-local too:

9:24 AM <Fallen> jryans: Right now its just one server on the same device. I had to set force-local to false, maybe it would be wise to disable advertising if this is set because it won't be able to connect anyway. Or use localhost in case the advertised ip is one of the machine defined ips
