The latest hotfix was intended only for WINNT, but for some reason the update.rdf directed all clients to install it. I think we should add an additional check to ensure it's compatible once it has been download. Just need a check in here: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/eea6188b9b05/toolkit/mozapps/extensions/AddonManager.jsm#l1380
Marking as good _next_ bug because this will need a really good test, so someone with at least some past bug experience would be ideal for this one.

We haven't used hotfix in a while and are on the verge of removing support for it.
