Steps to reproduce:

Dear Mozilla,

Would one of our intrepid heroes please fix this for me?

thunderbird-31.5.0.tar.bz2 for x64
firefox-36.0.tar.bz2 for x64
Scientific Linux 6.6 x64

When running Firefox 36 from the command line
     firefox some_url
if Firefox is running, I get a new tab with the url in it.  All is well.

But, new for Thunderbird 31.5.0, when clicking on a link in a  eMail, I get a new instance of Firefox 36 and the URL is the home page, not the link.

Just installed 36.0.1 x64 and the problem is corrected.  Wow!  That was fast!  Thank you!
