During my tests for "Bug 200921 - left click followed by right click in folder pane is taken as a double click" I found for German Seamonkey 2.33.B1 Build 20150223174142 on German WIN7 64bit, That a quick double-rightclick on a not selected node indeed will do a double click action for the latest selected node.
Steps how to reproduce:
0. Launch Mailnews
2. Collapse all accounts
3. Do a single click on one of the accounts "Account1" so that it
becomes higligkted
4. Double-rightclick un an other unselected "Account1"
Unexpectedly "Account1" will bcome expanded
a) effect also can be observed with selected folder in account and
drc on other folder of that account (folder selected first will
change collapsed/expanded)
b) same effect if you do test with folders in different accounts
c) not a problem with
c1) Browser Bookmarks Sidebar panel
c2) Browser History Sidebar panel
It seems there is a bunch of click reaction issues, I will continue research.
First observation of this one here: <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=200921#c5>

Possibly related to "Bug 200921 - left click followed by right click in folder pane is taken as a double click", but probably not a DUP

d) Also reproducible in Safe Mode without any addon
e) also reproducible with Thunderbird 31.5.0. So this might be a Thunderbird or
Core or event-handling bug, I am still not familiar with the system for
assignment here

There is a type in step 4:
should be "Account", not "Account1"
Still REPRODUCIBLE with en-US (German language pack) SeaMonkey 2.38 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0 Build 20150923195647 (Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit

Same with Thunderbird Daily 44.0a1 (2015-10-06).
I did not find a DUP with <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?cmdtype=dorem&remaction=run&namedcmd=DUPs1140691&sharer_id=41036&list_id=12620415>

repeated steps how to reproduce because of some typos in original report:
0. Launch Mailnews
2. Collapse all accounts
3. Do a single click on one of the accounts "Account1" so that it
becomes higlighted
4. Double-rightclick un an other unselected "Account2"
Unexpectedly "Account1" will become expanded
