Summary: Danish translation for Firefox for iOS → [da] Danish translation for Firefox for iOS

I have translated the file, but cannot upload it. I have added it as an attachment here.
By the way, it would be a lot easier for us if you had put in the <target></target> codes. Rather annoying to have to do that over and over as my editor cannot not find/replace with new line - or rather I do not know how to do it.

I think I can commit the file.
Kim, I think the language code you used in the file should be da, not da-DK. http://www.ibabbleon.com/iOS-Language-Codes-ISO-639.html

That may be. I followed the guide here:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Localization/Localizing_XLIFF_files
which use xx-XX as an example.
I got an e-mail from Jakob, he has an iThing, which is needed for a couple of the strings. I hope that he will take on this project, as I don't want to have to use another system and another file format in order to do this. The attached file here will be the last I do on Firefox for iOS.

The xx-XX is to cover all bases for the many locales involved in l10n. The simpler the locale code, the better.
Adding <target> tags is something we can attempt to automate in the future. I'm interested to know which strings require having an Apple device. Could you point those out please? It would be great to document them.
Thank you for your help, Kim, and for your suggestions for improvement. I've begun collecting all suggestions so that we can make this process easier.

I do not know if this is iOS specific: "Tab Tray"
There is one or two instances of the string "Search" which can have different translations in Danish, depending on the context. This is not iOS specific as such, but you need to see the string on a device in order to know which translation to use.

Adding Stefan here so he can take this back to developers.
Would a more detailed comment describing the part of speech and context used for the instances where "Search" appears be helpful?

Yes, but maybe it is doing too much out of it - I don't know if other languages have the same problem. I do not know the right expressions for the different types of use of the word, so let me give examples:
If it is a button next to a search input box, then we translate it to "Søg" - as an order to do a search.
If it is a headline of a page with search settings or a sentence like "Your search returned no results." we translate it to "Søgning".

I have localized the missing strings. The localization has been proof read, but not tested on a phone.
I am not convinced that the Danish localization is ready for release now.

Thank you for the update. Jakob signed up to get access to iOS builds. Has he been unable to test on a device?

According to Jakob his phone is too old to run the software that is used for testing.

IOS for da is finally green at Pontoon: https://pontoon.mozilla.org/da/firefox-for-ios/firefox-ios.xliff/
Please note, that the strings shown in https://people.mozilla.org/~sarentz/fxios/screenshots/da/da/iPhone4s-993SettingsTopWithAccount.png does not appear in Pontoon. Where are these strings localized?
