Steps to reproduce:

Hi,

I'm running thunderbird 31.5.0 in a vanilla (with all patches) winxp VM with 2 cpus and 1 GB ram, 200GB disk. I'm trying to import an outlook  express mailbox which has approx 10000 subfolders and tens of thousands of mails. it's 15GB on disk in OE. The import fails after a while.


Actual results:

Thunderbird crashes. When I restart thunderbird, I do see some stuff has been imported, but not everything.


Expected results:

Thunderbird should not crash ...

Hi people,

I have no idea how you guys work at Mozilla, I've never participated in open source dev. But I'm fairly good at computers (I'm linux sysadmin for a job) and so should be able to provide you with whatever you need easily. Just fire away what you want from me to help you resolve this :) It's important to me to get this working, hopefully we can get something done !

Hi ,

Here is what I get for the latest crash report:
bp-5471dea2-c879-442b-af3b-c511a2150310
but there are other, although I might not have uploaded them all or at all, can't remember.

When I click view all crash reports, it crashes, or rather the window dies and the process hangs around until I kill it (sobs...).
