It would be nice to advertise for Firefox Accounts in the Synced Tabs panel if the user doesn't have an account. In addition, it would be nice to reflect "action required" states to the user (unverified; needs password; needs upgrade).
Not all of this needs to make v1: we might go for the high-value "sign up for an account" but not include the other states.

randerson: it's possible for the account to need some user action, namely:
1) need to verify your email;
2) need to enter your password again;
3) need to upgrade Firefox (very unlikely).

I marked this as a duplicate because I implemented this recently in bug 1171599 - but now I see https://github.com/mozilla/firefox-ios/pull/384 which also did that. That PR was not attached to this bug however :-(
