For Bug #7444, I added a password dialog which prompts for your pop password
instead of reading it from preferences. This is a good step in the right
diretion but I left the implementation incomplete.

Right now, during one session, I don't remember your password so you get
prompted for the password every time biff goes off or every time you hit get new
mail for pop.

Eventually we'll have a remember password pref but this bug isn't tracking that
either. It's just saying: the user should only have to enter their password once
per session.

I'm looking into fixing this today.

Okay, I fixed this today...I had to reorganize some architecture that effected
smtp, pop, news and imap which is why it took so long. But it now works the
right way.

I'm going to check this stuff in tomorrow morning so no need to triage this bug.
It is fixed for M9.
thanks scott, I appreciate it.

Fix checked in. In tomorrows builds, you should only be prompted for your pop
password ONCE per session. We'll remember for the remainder of the session.

Easy demo:
1) hit get new msgs on a pop account
2) type in your password
3) after we have fetched new mail, send yourself a message and hit get new
mail again.
4) Verify that you aren't prompted for your password the second time and that we
still succeed in downloading your mail

I Following Mscott's demo, I checked all 3 platforms. It didn't prompt for the
password the second time and that it succeeds to download new messages.
