Details
As a user, I want to be able to disable hardware acceleration so I can work around having a buggy video driver. It would also be helpful to set the maximum video size for software decoding (at least in MSE).

An additional video option to indicate a preference for HTML5 video (on Youtube, Vimeo, etc.) would be useful:

Youtube's cookie to indicate a preference for HTML5 video gets deleted if you have the preference to delete cookies when Firefox closes.

hardware acceleration can be disabled by changing a pref ; not an MSE issue however
