this was not an original alert, we saw this on aurora after the uplift and retriggered to narrow down the range:

This is a larger alert on pgo than it is on non-pgo, but both exhibit the regression.

:jrmuizel, does this surprise you at all?  is there anything we could do to reduce this or explain/document it?

I wouldn't immediately back out the patch, but it would be nice to have more info.
