Steps to reproduce:

After an upgrade from thunderbird-37.0 to 38.0 on Windows XP the From: line in email contain only the username but not his/her email address.

Please note mailer settings did not change, the email address is still recorded in account settings. It is just not respected.


Actual results:

In 37.0:

From: John <[e-mail]>

In 38.0:

From: John


Expected results:

Interestingly, trying to set as username

John <[e-mail]>

while keeping on the additional line in mailer settings also the valid address, results in:

From: John
unlike 
From: "John <[e-mail]>" <[e-mail]>

So, one cannot work around the bug. I downgraded to 31.6.0 to avoid baby issues next time.
