1153527 - Firefox 37 stops animating GIF after a while

Steps to reproduce:

-Fresh Firefox Profile (Firefox 37.0.1)
Go to http://mozhelp.dynvpn.de/dateien/forum/ff-37-NotLoadWholeGif.gif It is a big .gif graphic with a timer (right down). The runnig time of the .gif is 2minutes. You can see the whole gif if you download it.




Actual results:

-The .gif don not load to the end. It stops after 52sec (see the timer) and it does not reload the .gif
-If you reload the website (F5) it does not load the gif again.
-If you relaod the website with clearing cache (ctrl+F5) it need a long time to load the site, sometimes i get an error that the file is corrupt.


Expected results:

Before Firefox 37 all these things was ok. On Firefox 36.0.4 the .gif load to the end and reload after 2min. Also with other browsers (for example IE 11) it load to the end and reload.

I'll go ahead and track this for 39+ since it's a relatively recent regression. I'm not sure it's all that common of a problem. Seth, how much of a priority do you think this should be?

It shouldn't be tracked. There are more details in bug 1150089, which this is a dupe of.
