Whoops, that should be 2001112303 for the build!
Confirming on Linux 2001121406. Strange indeed ...
Confirming on WinXP. This is due to bookmarks internal names beginning with NC:Bookmarks# and the "NC" gets interpreted as a URL. See related bugs: bug 91448 bug 92889

I'm still seeing this on 2002011703 on WinXP. Dennis, please test more carefully before resolving someone else's bug.

*** Bug 146772 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
The dragging of bookmark folders has bugs in Mac OS 9 version of Mozilla 1.1a too (build 2002061103). 1. Dragging a bookmark folder onto desktop produces text clipping containing something like "NC:BookmarksRoot#$39f98b91". I would have expected it to produce a nice hierarchy of the bookmarks organised in folders as they were in Mozilla. 2. Dragging a bookmark folder onto an open Mozilla window makes Mozilla go to Netscape search with search string "NC"... URL: <http://search.netscape.com/nscp_results.adp?query=nc&source=NSCPRedirect>
