RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1146168

People

(Reporter: Carsten.Huetter, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 SeaMonkey/2.33.1
Build ID: 20150321194901

Steps to reproduce:

Since one of the latest updates (2.32? 2.33? 2.33.1?) FAYT no longer shows the find bar. It's gone. You have to press Ctrl+F to show the find bar. Did this happen intentionally or is it a bug?

Actual results:

When starting the FAYT in SeaMonkey 2.33.1 by typing "/", or "'", or just by typing some letters, the bottom status field shows the search status. But the top find bar does not open.

Expected results:

It's expected to see the find bar when starting find as you type.
Addition: I triple checked the preferences. The according check box "show find bar" is checked. There is no change in behaviour whether the box is checked or not.
DUP of Bug 1146168 - Find bar no longer opens with autostart or with / or ' keys.

Thanks, therube. Yes, I did a bugzilla search before, but couldn't find the original bug report.
