Opening this URL crash mozilla 0.9.6 few seconds later. Quicktime plugin is launched, start downloading the song file and one or two seconds later, mozilla crash. I tried with netscape 4.75 and it doesn't crash. Stef
Since you saw a crash, probably you have the crash data talkback id. Please add it here (if you don't remember it, run talkback.exe in mozilla\components directory). There are already some related bugs. ->Plugins, Critical.

How do I get QT play mp3 files. I get Save/Open dialog when I click on the link which by the way shows mimetype QT is unaware of.
Andrei, this is default for me w/ Win2k and QT5.0.2. You might have winamp (perhaps Winamp Agent) that prevents from reassociating mp3 with Quicktime.
I am also having this happen, using the latest-trunk nightly 2002042403. http://strings.gibson.com/pickups/classics.shtml Click on one of the mp3 links, and the Quicktime plugin will load (if your browser is set up that way; mine defaults to this for some reason). Play the file, and-- CRASH!
talkback ID 5607105: This callstack looks real, real familiar Call Stack: (Signature = QUICKTIMEINTERNETEXTRAS.QTX + 0x7a12e (0x62dea12e) b74eec3b) QUICKTIMEINTERNETEXTRAS.QTX + 0x7a12e (0x62dea12e) Could this be a dup of 134704 or 136761
i dont know about the first bug beppe, but it seems strikingly similar to the second one (136761). anthonyd reconfirming for win2k on newest nightly build.
Yes, definitely dup of bug 136761. I'll add URL to bug 136761. I'm still crashing using build 2002050504 on Win2k + QT5.0.2. (It might be a regression because I didn't crash with older builds: 0.9.4/5/6). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 136761 ***
