A user in the SUMO forums is reporting an issue updating his Firefox OS device from Alcatel.


ENVIRONMENT:
Device Model: Alcatel OneTouch Fire E
Version: v2.0
Firmware: v.01008D



USER VERBATIM:
Alcatel onetouch Fire E w/ OS v. 2.0, firmware v. 01008D Check for system updates says, version 01009D is available However, any attempt to install that version fails due to this error:

E : erasing fota.status failed errno=2 Finding update package Opening update package Verifying update package Installing update Verifying current system Assert failed : apply_patch_space (26162700) E : error in /storage/sdcard0/downloaded/update.zip (Status 7)


Please let me know if there is any other information that may be helpful to investigate and troubleshoot this issue.

FOTA wouldn't be us it would be the vendor and from the sounds of things it sounds like they ran out of space on the device to update.

( I should correct myself ... FOTA is most likely not us, there may be a chance that it might be something with the underlying code )  In this particular case, I'm pretty sure that it's the vendor/distributor of the device
