This suggestions might be very specific to my style of reading but I tend to focus on a single paragraph at a time, and after reading it scroll the page down to the next paragraph to remember where I left off in case I get distracted. Turning my focus to the touchpad and scrolling down so the finished paragraph is hidden seems like it should be done automatically, if others too think it's worth doing it. We could maybe use the arrow keys (left/right) to simply jump between paragraphs? A nice transition (a fast ease-out scroll) should probably be used as it would otherwise be too easy to not understand what's going on.

I'd take a patch from someone who wants to scratch an itch, but I don't think this should be a priority for us to work on at the moment. :-)
