User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 Build ID: 20150513174244 Steps to reproduce: Composing an new email to myself to remind me to do something later -> set this email's encryption to off -> save it as a draft and turn off my computer. Actual results: When I come back and found the draft email in the 'Drafts' folder, I notice the email is saved as encrypted (the lock icon indicate its in a locked state). Expected results: I would think if I compose an email and set it to un-encrypted, it should follow my instruction and not to encrypt the email that include it as in a draft state.

I have been experiencing the same issue with Thunderbird version 78.8.1.

Seeing that this bug still persists even though it was first reported 6 years ago is quite shocking, though...

Addendum:
This bug requires me to use an additional email address. One that is solely for encrypted content. Otherwise all my saved "drafts" that I keep as notes would be lost as soon as the repective keys expire.

Old bug, so all bets off. But it's working as it should with recent versions.
