Mozilla Mail (when using IMAP server) can't automatically check any new
messages in all IMAP folders. It only checks new messages in Inbox
folder. But when I'm using for example Cyrus IMAP server I can
write some server-side filters (in SIEVE language) which cause any new
messages arrive directly in another folder (within Inbox ierarchy).
In that case I can't see if any new messages appeared in the other
folders untill I explicitly select that folders by mouse.
Outlook and Outlook Express CAN do this (and do this by default).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create Imap account
2. Create subfolder of the Inbox folder of the IMAP acoount
3. Create Server-Side filters which cause new messages delivered
directly to the new folder.
4. Make new message to be delivered (by IMAP server) directly to
the new folder.
5. Press "Get Msgs" button. Voila ! Mozilla thinks that where is NO
new messages on the server. But if You select prevously created
folder new message will appear.
Actual Results: I saw that new message arrive ONLY if I'll go directly to
folder where the new message delivered.
Expected Results: The Mozilla Mail must automaticallty check for any new
messages in all
folders thich I've subscribed (or ALL folders if i've UNchecked "show only
subscribed folders" checkbox in Edit -> Mail & Newsgroups Account
Settings... -> Server Settings -> Advanced... )
I REALLY need this to work.

I think it is.
Reporter, you may want to take a look at
http://www.mozilla.org/quality/help/beginning-duplicate-finding.html: it
explains how to check if your bug has already been reported. Thanks for testing
Mozilla and Merry Christmas if you're into that sort of thing.
