User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/43.0.2357.81 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
I created an LDAP lookup to my LDAP server which connects successfully without errors. However no addresses are shown in the address book
Actual results:
No LDAP addresses are shown.
If you go into properties and downloads the LDAP content (if mab file is opened in a text editor correct content is present)
When you return to the address book from the Offline tab under the Properties page for the address book it is still blank
Expected results:
LDAP addresses should be shown in the address book
Forgot to add that if you enter a number in the search box addresses relating to the number are displayed. Doesn't seem to work if you enter a alphabetic character...

Can you create a new profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-multiple-profiles to see if this reproduces with beta https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/90.0b2/ ?
