When you start typing the URL into the location bar and the URL already exists, pressing "enter" will not work when you complete the URL yourself and remove the "/" at the end. I've attached a .gif to illustrate the issue (this doesn't happen in aurora). This issue is reproducible 100% of the time. Quick description of the .gif: - once you see the "/" being removed at the end of the URL, I started hitting the "ENTER" key at least 10 times without anything happening STR: - create a new clean profile on nightly (use -p) - type in google.com and press "Enter" (should take you to the website without issues) - open a new tab and start typing google.com and remove the "/" at the end once you're done typing in the full URL - pressing enter won't do anything (pressing enter in this state should work without issues) This could definitely be a big issue for some users who would rather quickly type in the URL and pressing enter rather than selecting a per-existing URL from the location bar.

Is this a duplicate of bug 1173202? It looks a dupe to me, please check if that covers your issue.
