Mail from Kai Engert (CC'd) to nss-dev seems not to be getting through. Since yesterday for sure, but the last mail from him that got through was sent June 11. He's a member of the list and the list is set up so any problems get held in moderation (rather than auto-rejected/discarded) and there's nothing in the moderation list. I sent a test mail of my own and it made it through.

according to my mail.log on host kuix.de the initial recipient system has accepted the messages

It got hit by the quarantine for whatever reason. I have released it from the quarantine and you should have it now

Ed, it doesn't seem to be fixed for me.
I still haven't received any of those missing messages.
(Until June 11, all email I sent to the list got echoed back to me.)
25 minutes ago I sent another test email to the list, and it still hasn't been sent back to me.
Are my messages in quarantine again? Could you please find out why?

I sent yet another test message and that one successfully went to the list.
Looks like it's fixed.
I'll reopen if necessary.

What sort of quarantine, and as the list admin is that something I can manage? It seems to have gotten stopped before it hit mailman because it wasn't in the mailman moderation queue.

Unfortunately normal users can't really access the quarantine now (long story) so it would take an admin to release it

The bug is back. I sent two messages today, no error, but they didn't go through.

If it's stuck, and if you see any reasons given in logs, I'd appreciate to receive the details. Feel free to send by email or attach. Thanks.

For additional testing, I just sent the same email from my @redhat.com account, and it was delivered to the list.
It would be great to find out what the Mozilla/Google email server dislike about my kuix.de sending domain. I believe I have most email anti-spam stuff setup, DKIM, SPF, reverse DNS.
Did I miss to setup anything on kuix.de that's expected by the receiving mail servers?

NI limed again. Kai writes on nss-dev:
My server supports ipv4 and ipv6,
has correct reverse DNS configured,
(for both ipv4 and ipv6 addresses)
for the IPs that send out the messages,
I have a SPF record that lists both addresses,
and I'm adding DKIM signatures,
and my sender email address is a member address of the mailing list.
What else can he possibly do? Is this our system rejecting/quarantining the messages, or a Google system? Why would it reject messages when everything is set up right and the content is unobjectionable?

Did you just apply some magic?
my three emails from thursday and friday have just been delivered to the list.
Were they stuck?
Can you please tell me why they were stuck?
It would be good to be able to avoid that my mails get stuck in the future.
Thanks

limed released them from the quarantine. Looking at the logs it looks like kaie@kuix.de has sent 10 messages since 8/1. I see only one that was caught by the spam filter but it doesn't give much helpful info.
We already have aggressive spam filtering turned off for mozilla.org accounts to reduce the amount of false positive mail being quarantined. But if you're still having problems, then we should delete the Google junk mail filtering account for nss-dev@mozilla.com as it sounds like you are already managing at the list level. The few lists having this issue deleted their junk mail account and have been happy with the results. We recommend that you add junk mail filters to your list if they don't already exist before we make the change. https://mana.mozilla.org/wiki/display/SD/Spam+Filtering+for+mailman+lists
Or we can leave it as is. Let me know what you want to do.

Wanted to follow up, should I delete the nss-dev@mozilla.com junk mail filter account to avoid the false positives?

Jennifer thanks a lot for investigating and the explanation!
Please note:
- it's .org (not .com)
- I don't have access to the wiki page you mentioned
- I cannot make the decision for the list, Dan runs it.
Dan, what do you think about Jennifer's suggestion from comment 13?

Sorry, typo on my part - nss-dev@mozilla.org. As the owner of the list, Dan would need to add the junk mail filters to the list.
