I really hope this bug is fixable, thanks.
the question is whether it is planned sometime in the future to fix the bug, because it's a rare use-case.
So there are no plans to fix this "minor problem"?
My use-case is to copy some specific folders to other Firefox profiles, either for initialization or updating.
This is mostly about (keyword) bookmarklets to have these JavaScript bookmarklets available in other profiles and for updating bookmarks in other profiles and Firefox versions.
Doing this via the clipboard used to work very well in previous Firefox versions, but these recent changes broke the keywords (they are all lost) as well as the possibility to copy multiple folders at once.
Now I need to create (copy) each folder individually and then select all the bookmarks in each folder and transfer the selection via the clipboard.
It would be fine if the clipboard could be used to copy folders and could also preserve keywords of each bookmark.

Anyone who uses Firefox test versions (alpha, beta, release) and possibly uses multiple Firefox versions and profiles would benefit if this feature works properly, so I do not consider this as a rare use-case because all testers are likely experiencing this sooner or later.

Based on previous comments and some offline discussion I'm going to mark this fix-optional for 50/51/52.
Cool, thanks. Hope someone picks it up.

it's a minor problem affecting a rare use-case, it's not worth tracking.

That would have been the case if Firefox bookmark management wasn't a huge pile of abandonware. Firefox doesn't offer an option to export and then import a single bookmark folder and that """rare use case""" was the only workaround available.
