Personally, I really want to see one feature in mozilla mail/news. I usually received many duplicate copy of email when the sender send to multiple mailling list that I belong to. Since those are the same message, I should really receive one copy. I belive the message ID/Subject/Sender/Date for those message should be the same. It will be nice if we can remove duplicate email (definitation of duplication could be the same message id or with additional criterias)

This isn't really a dupe, that bug was never about messages from different mailing lists, because some of the headers were different, it was about identical messages. I believe doing this was explicitly discounted.
