User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:41.0) Gecko/41.0 Firefox/41.0 The home screen has 10 icons, then there are 6 other on a slightly lighter background, then there are 7 icons on the same background as the beginning then there are 5 more on the lighter background. I don't understand why this division was made and it doesn't look optimally organized.

Passing to Peter for comment - thanks and sorry for the delay!

Hi Irina, Is your comment more about how the apps are grouped or about the visual treatment of the group overlays? For background: the app grouping have an alternating or striped overlay style that is designed to be as unobtrusive as possible while still communicating the divisions between groups.

Hi Peter, My comment is about how the apps are grouped. I am not sure why they are grouped the way they are.
Hey Irina, we modified the app hierarchy for Spark in this bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1159457 According to this hierachy: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1M5OZDRz3eJ_Cqh7v36jYbTsp0_09VbvtbHRRP5LAYZ8/edit#gid=0 The aim was to emphasize the camera, settings and any other apps the Mozillian would use. However for some reason Contacts got bumped to the top, so now it looks odd. Let me know if the hierarchy still doesn't make sense and if there's a better one you'd propose.

I haven't thought about the hierarchy. Not sure what would be best there. Happy to discuss this if I can help. My confusion was around why the apps are grouped and what are the groupings based on. I can see that they might be grouped based on core apps, Spark apps and the rest, but I don't know if that makes sense from a user perspective. The alternatives would be to not group them at all or make it really obvious to the user why they are grouped the way they are.
Mass update: Resolve wontfix all issues with legacy homescreens. As of 2.6 we have a new homescreen and having these issues open is confusing. All issues will block bug 1231115 so we can use that to re-visit any of these if needed.
