We can't (and don't) crash when things go wrong or unexpectedly during a sync. 

So how do we know what to fix?

I'd like us to come up with a stopgap some time in our first couple of releases, because we'll have no visibility into problems without it. 

This can either be manual (email logs) or automatic.

We can do this with XCLogger and a flag, log-wise.

N.B., we can pull logs via the Xcode device manager, so just writing them to disk is a good starting point for devs.
