I ran Developer Edition with a new profile and it:
- asked whether to install as default browser
- showed a doorhanger to describe developer tools
- showed another doorhanger under the burger menu for sync
- showed the bar at the bottom for telemetry/FHR
- and then opening a new tab shows another "tour" for new tab.

I wasn't shown it on this new profile, but at some point in the past, on the DevEdition, I was also shown a notification that I'm participating in e10s testing. Maybe I didn't get in the right bucket in the new profile, but that would have been yet another thing in my face, and at yet another location, since that's a notification under the url bar.

I understand why those notifications/doorhangers/tours are there, but when they all show up one after the other, they are not engaging.

Yeah, that is a big issue in all versions of Firefox. We are currently working untangling the mess here in some other bugs starting with the default browser prompt (bug 1191250).

You seem to have run in a pretty specific situation though. I wasn't able to reproduce it with dev edition here (41 on Windows 10). Did all those doorhangers show up in sequence for you, or simultaneously?

Not tracking for Firefox QX/onboarding work. I agree with the intent, but the Devtools team owns this channel and should handle this work.
