118424 - selectbox/popup (right-mouse) menus are vertically misaligned after links toolbar closed/opened

Hey, I'm using 2002010506/linux.
Selectboxes (like the ones at the on the bug pages on bugzilla) are displaying.
strangely. will attach screenshot. kind of maybe related to bug 117960, perhaps.
seeing this "everywhere".

But, now I can't reproduce it again... Will investigate more.

reopening.  The other bug is most likely an evangelism problem, while this
problem is a different kettle of soup entirely.  The fact that the same testcase
reproduces both seems not so relevant...

For what it's worth, with build 2002-01-07-06 on Linux I tried the following steps:

1)  open a new window
2)  load http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/showattachment.cgi?attach_id=63397 (from bug
    117960) in that window.
3)  Open and close the popup.
4)  browse to this bug page in that window
5)  Try opening popups

I cannot reproduce this problem...

*sigh* no, can't reproduce, using same build as when I saw it first... Must have
been triggered by something else, I guess. Tried going through my history,
didn't help..

it's still there with 2002012208, btw.
_very_ hard to repro, been surfin' around quite a few hours in one session, then
I select some text with the mouse, right click, and the menu appears a bit
further down than I'd expect. Smells fishy. So I try one of the select boxes
and, yep, reproduced this bug.
So it's apparantly not just selectboxes. I guess the pop up menu (rightclick) is
somewhat similar to the selectbox popups?
Opening a new window fixed it both in the new window _and_ in the window showing
the bug.
I guess this doesn't really help much ... (:

misaligned, and the right-click-on-page popupmenu too.

Steps to reproduce:
* Have site nav bar set to show as needed.
* Load a page which activates the site nav bar.
* Load a page which doesn't need it (deactivating it).
* The page will render, then the navbar will be removed.  This moves the view up
some number of pixels, but all popups are not corrected.  This causes the redraw
problem.

bz or layoutpeople, can you confirm this?

Confirmed.  Thanks for the excellent reproduction steps!

As a note, this is not a problem with XBL form controls, just with the old-style
ones.

Some sites don't seem to trigger with my steps for some reason.  IE: Slashdot
then imdb will cause it, but Slashdot then google won't (I suspect it has to do
with the layout/complexity, making this a wily/tricky bug indeed).
