WFM Linux Build-ID 2002010521 Reporter: What build where you using?
Severity: major → critical
Keywords: crash
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20011221
I also noticed that iE complained about a bad certificate, but allowed ignoring the problem, when going to the same place.
WFM, win98SE, 2002010403. I get the warning about the bad cert, too.
WFM, Linux CVS build 2002010607 Can someone using mac test this?
Worksform, MacOS X BuildID 2002010308.
wfm using build 2002010508 on Win2k.
I installed Mac OS X build 2002010308, and I still get the same crash.
Bob Smith: Do you have a working copy of PSM installed (i.e., can you use other HTTPS sites?)?
Donno about PSM, but I can use a couple other httpS sites I use regularly.
WFM (Can't Reproduce) Mozilla 0.9.7 Build 2002011108 on Mac OS X 10.1.2 I did see the certificate error message, but I got that in Internet Explorer as well, so I'll assume there really IS something wrong with that particular certificate. Reporter: Tell us more about system where you have the problem. How much RAM, what version of OS X are you running, etc. If you download tonight's nightly build does it still recur?
Mac iBook, OS X version 10.1.2, 128 MB, PowerPC G3, 600 Mhz, Came with OS 9.2 pre-installed; Did the OS X install onto the same hard drive; CD-RW/DVD combo, 18.6 GB HD, 16 GB Free, Airport Card for network connection, via Linksys wireless AP/router to cable modem. Anything else? It's good for snow surfing :-) http://www.mensetmanus.net/images/snowsurfing.jpg Tried installing Brickhouse for Firewall control, but haven't yet done much of anything because its icon turns into a ? after restarting. Still learning my way around a Mac. WFM from a PC Win98SE Build 2001122106 on same LAN. I'll try the latest build and get back.
With Build 2002011808 I get exactly the same behavior - hit that link and it crashes. Plz let me know if there is something I can do to help debug. Also, I am new to Mac, so maybe it could be something about the installs, although it seems straight forward enough.
Give us some crash logs : Attach ~/Library/Logs/Mozilla.crash.log to this bug. To have the file available do : To enable, launch the "Console" application, in Preferences, select the Crashes tab. Select at least the first check box. If you select both, any time there's a crash, Console will pop up and display the crash dump. Be aware that subsequent crashes will be appended to the file.

Does this crash on any other OS? I can not reproduce this crash on nt4. Does it just crash if you try to load https://www.coastlandtech.com/signup-html.html darin, simon, can you reproduce this?
Bob: what skin were you using; classic or modern? If you change to the other skin, does is still crash? Also, can you try a recent nighly build, and report back?
crashes for me on macosx w/ classic skin... build id: 2002-01-31/08
Simon: I use classic skin. The Mac is away, so I'll try your suggestions after it returns next week. Darin: Glad to finally see it's not just a freak of my Mac or network.
Verifying freeze/crash on Mac OS 9.1 with build 2002020405. Freezes or crashes always with classic skin. No certificate warning with classic skin. Sometimes certificate warning with modern skin, after clicking "continue" secure page show up without crash. Sometimes I can go straight to the secure page with modern skin without security warning(?). Talkback IDs: TB2623124G, TB2623861Y, TB2624080M, TB2624580K, TB2624682X. Have been able to reproduce crash with modern skin once, changed from classic to modern on a differnent URL, went straight to https://coastlandtech.com/signup-html.html, see the last Talkback report. Maybe this crash could be related to something else (bug 116038)?
This looks very similar to bug 123796.
Yeah, this is bug 123796 (or really bug 108791). The "GetNextTabbableContent__19nsEventStateManagerFP10nsIContentP8n" on the stack makes me sure of this. If a crash is reproducible in builds after 20020204, please file a separate bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 123796 ***
