https://i.imgur.com/YM6Y4HZ.png The "https" in any non-weak-crypto and non-mixed-content-loaded connection should be painted green. The color should be #479900, or rather var(--identity-box-verified-color). Using the variable value might be hard, as we'll have to hard-code that in C++.

Most of the stuff seems to be already done by the patches in bug 747085.

Is this a WONTFIX based upon the feedback in: bug 747085?

This is still the desired UX - can this be prioritized again?

It would be nice if we could replace the padlock with this change. It would be a bold change but not reduce functionality.

(In reply to Jonathan Kingston [:kingstonTime] from comment #4) > It would be nice if we could replace the padlock with this change. It would > be a bold change but not reduce functionality. Not sure that we have enough feedback that user's find the padlock confusing. Many may rely on it for at a glance understanding if a site is safe/secure. Its also a standard used by other browser most notably chrome... The painting of the https helps further reinforce why the lock is there.
