118517 - Popup Blocking: Second Java Window won't launch, can't play chess

Problem is specific to the java plug-in.  
Problem is:
1) go to pogo.com, select chess (must have username/password)
2) select a room, and java will start and you'll see a bunch of rooms
3) select the play button on one of the rooms
expected result is a new java window opens up with the chess board.
actual result: no new window.

Reporter, do you have open unrequested windows option enabled?
(prefs->advanced->scripts&windows, first item in the list).

If so, try to clear checkbox and try again.

This didn't work because I had the pop-up window pref turned off.  Turning on
that bit makes the second java window pop-up work.

Reopenning as a usability issue....

This is a real user level problem. If "unrequested windows" are blocked
especially by default like on Phoenix the behavior appears a hard failure to the
user.

I don't know who should be tracking the unexpected behaviors of popup blocking.
It might have CHimera impact as well (?)

saari --- I am seeing the same behavior with CHimera but I don't see where I can
turn "popup" windows back on. (any thoughts)

Chimera doesn't have the popup re-enable UI in yet, soon.

Tested using Mozilla 10_29_08_trunk build. 
In Preferences, I selected Advanced/Scripts & Plugins and unchecked 'Open
unrequested windows'.
Went to www.pogo.com and tried to play chess (I have java 1.4.1 installed).
I was able to play with popup blocking.
Marking bug worksforme.

Testing on Mozilla 11_01_08_trunk build with WinXP.
In Preferences, select Advanced/Scripts & Plugins and unchecked 'Open
unrequested windows'.

In comment #10, I was testing the Chess game as a new player.
This time, I went back and entered an EXISTING chess game and then tried to
watch, and the game was suppressed. 

Reopening bug.
