This is from upstream code, where it was fixed this year: https://github.com/giampaolo/psutil/commit/70d6ee518de750655934f350b2502251e41c6de9

I guess this will get fixed when we switch to the newer version?..

another issue is resolved by the upgraded patch in that the return status
for kstat_read is not correct checked.
