I started noticing this on Firefox at the same time as I noticed it on Thunderbird (see bug 1185818). I'm currently running Firefox Developer Edition 40.0a2 on Ubuntu 15.04 w/ Unity. $ uname -a Linux XXXXXXXX 3.19.0-22-generic #22-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jun 16 17:15:15 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux This is a much narrower case: on the New Tab thumbnails view, if I click to open a site that prompts me for a user ID and password using the generic Firefox dialog box, the first time, I can't type anything into the dialog box. I can click on the dialog box, move it, and dismiss it, but the user ID and password entry fields never get focus for me to type anything. If I dismiss the dialog box (and don't load the page), and then try again, the password dialog box works properly: I can type in a user ID and password and login successfully.
Hi Mike, are you still seeing this?
