e.g. in its simplest form, put them inline with the search result content based on relevance.

Search history is another desired feature so potentially build the design with search history in mind, if possible.

NI antlam for his existing mocks. Note jonalmeida said he might be interested in prototyping.

I started some work on Friday for an early prototype that has a search icon next to the new tab +. When clicked, it closes the tabs tray, and focuses on the awesomebar. I'm still trying to figure out how to properly focus on the awesomebar text field.

I've considered trying to filter all tabs into the recent tabs list, but I can't seem to find a way to do that with our existing implementation of it.

So, what have the discussions been so far? Given what's on bug 1189725, I find it hard to beleive that has been no discussion.

At the time, I was hoping to help prototype search suggestions and bug 1164271, but there was some confusion between the titles of the bugs since there were a few bugs stepping on each other's toes. Hence, bug 1190967 was born! Haven't heard about anything since..

NI for antlam in case he may know more.

I'm confused now. I think we should close this bug.

Bug 1164271 is search ability in the tabs tray, and :jonalmeida mentioned bug 1190967 for awesomescreen related work.

I think bug 1190967 may be a dupe of bug 1086952 as well. But I'll also comment in there.
