User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 Build ID: 20150730030208 Expected results: Provide an "Add to Taskbar" / "Pin to Taskbar" Option
OS: Unspecified → Windows
Whiteboard: [parity-ie][parity-chrome]
Summary: Add "Add to Taskbar" → Add "Add to Microsoft Windows Taskbar" option
Please clarify what option you'd like added and where. “Pin this program to taskbar” is a Windows feature that's available for all programs. Firefox will also automatically pin itself to the taskbar when set as the default browser.
Component: Untriaged → Shell Integration

This is about one click adding a site directly to the taskbar via Firefox. Clicking this icon on the taskbar will launch Firefox without any chrome in a separate instance. Currently, this can be done for a few sites by finding the hosted app on Firefox Marketplace, but not all sites have a hosted app on Firefox Marketplace, and the flow is far from ideal. An example is WhatsApp Web, where no hosted app exists on Firefox Marketplace. On Chrome, adding sites to the task bar is easily accomplished by clicking Menu > More Tools > Add to Taskbar. An shortcut is placed in the Start Menu Folder "Chrome Apps", which can be pinned to a tile. In IE 11, this is done by pressing Menu > Add site to Apps. A Windows 8 Metro Tile is added, and can be pinned to the taskbar.

Summary: Add "Add to Microsoft Windows Taskbar" option → Add "Add to Microsoft Windows Taskbar" option for sites
Mass bug change to replace various 'parity' whiteboard flags with the new canonical keywords. (See bug 1443764 comment 13.)

This is all tied up in the site specific browser initiative. I guess bug 1602123 is the closest match.

This is about adding a shortcut to the Windows Taskbar or Start menu, similar to what Chrome does and the old Prism initiative. That's not a workflow supported in the current SSB initiative implementation yet.

I think you intended to dupe this to bug 1602191 adds the shortcut to the desktop, but not the task bar / start menu.
