See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1184186#c49. mobile/android/tests/browser/chrome/test_web_channel.html is essentially the same as browser/base/content/test/general/browser_web_channel.js; it would be better to have just one test. Note that browser/ is not part of the Android build and mochitest-browser tests do not normally run on Android. It should be possible to move the mobile mochitest-chrome test to somewhere like toolkit/modules/tests/chrome and run it on all platforms. I had a look at this, but ran into some trouble finding a way to set gBrowser for both mobile and desktop.
